Modern country kitchen
Located in a period property this cottage kitchen was a real challenge in terms of technical details, no wall was straight and the floor was also uneven. It is this type of property and really benefits from a bespoke approach where every detail is drawn by hand and made to fit the room exactly.
With a low ceiling and many doors into the room, storage was maximized with deep drawers and bespoke cabinets were created within the unused and awkward spaces. Bookshelves where created in the area beneath the stairs and a plate rack and open shelving for display all help keep the room light. Avoiding wall mounted cabinets in this small kitchen meant the room retained a feeling of openness.
The fresh painted cabinets and the light stone floor are offset back contrasting black granite work surfaces and stained bun handles on the units. Finished off with a handmade kitchen table this room epitomizes modern country style
