Industrial Influence

Common ground was instantly found when we discovered Mr & Mrs G were no strangers to the furniture business. Inviting us to survey for their conservatory kitchen was a very pleasant morning out, the room was very light and airy with an industrial theme already present. Concrete work surfaces, steel wall racks & a large Lacanche were existing features which Mr & Mrs G liked and wanted to incorporate into a new design. We discussed & decided to lose the concrete pillers that featured within the current kitchen runs which really hindered valuable storage space.

The design evolved quickly featuring handmade cabinets in Lime wood & painted in Farrow & Balls Hardwick White’. Solid Oak internals including pullout shelves and baskets, tailor made cutlery drawer and knife block. A large 90cm Berlioz ceramic sink, steel fronted appliances and the clients own existing wall racks. The Quartz Form Breeze Pearl work surfaces gave a very pretty impression, similar to the original concrete with the added bonus of being non-porous.

Working with this couple was an absolute pleasure with the added bonus of Linda’s delicious ginger cake.
